Section One – Background Information About the Victim – Me 

My name is Bruce, and I am the victim in this story of injustice. As you read about what happened on October 1, 2004, it may help to know a bit about me. The police detectives who questioned me didn't seem to care about my background or what makes me who I am. But shouldn't that be important when determining someone's guilt or innocence, especially in considering a violent crime?

So, let me offer some insight into my life and experiences that define me as a person - though there is so much more than I could ever share in this book.
