What Really Matters: Poems About Love

This book is the second in a collection or series of autobiographical books. I dedicate this book to Lynn Denise Krupey (1967 – 2015). Lynn and I lived as husband and wife for years. We had a real meaningful life. While this is a book of poems it is also an autobiography. The book deals with more than just love. There are poems titled “Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder” and “Fugue State.” There is a sense in which I was lost when I lost literally everything. In just over one month, I lost the love of my life, my wife Lynn. I lost my job and my career. I lost the home we had known for years. A villain entered my life and he was obsessed with destroying me.

Everything that defined me was gone. I didn’t know who I was and had no direction home or forward. I was lost. That’s why the image on the cover isn’t so pretty. Things became rather sad and painful. But I wrote a love poem once. I know it was good. The feeling of being in love was good. The success I had was good and right. These are the things that really matter.
